DANISH-CRT
DANISH-CRT — Does Targeted LV Lead Positioning Towards Latest Local Electric Activation at CRT Implantation Reduce Incidence of the Combined Endpoint "Death or Non-planned Hospitalisation for Heart Failure" in Patients With HF and Prolonged QRS
Doente / População Intervenção / Exposição Comparação Desfecho
In 1,000 patients with heart failure and bundle branch block receiving CRT, electrically targeted LV lead placement was compared with conventional lead placement on death or unplanned heart-failure hospitalisation.

Danish national multicentre, double-blind (patients, follow-up staff and endpoint committee blinded), randomised 1:1; CRT-P or CRT-D with the LV lead targeted by intra-procedural electrical mapping to the coronary-sinus tributary with the latest local LV activation versus conventional placement in a posterolateral, non-apical branch; event-driven (264 primary events) with minimum 2-year follow-up of the last patient; intention-to-treat; enrolment March 2018 to 2024, completed February 2026; sponsor Aarhus University Hospital.
