2022 ESC Guidelines on cardio-oncology

The first ESC cardio-oncology guideline builds a full pathway: baseline cardiovascular risk stratification before cancer therapy, surveillance during it, and management of cancer-therapy-related cardiac dysfunction afterwards. The randomised cardioprotection evidence is small and rests on imaging surrogates rather than hard outcomes — a limitation the guideline states openly.
