2020 ESC Guidelines on sports cardiology and exercise in patients with cardiovascular disease

The 2020 ESC guideline reverses the field's default posture from restriction to prescription: exercise is recommended in almost every cardiovascular condition, and the burden of proof now lies with those who would forbid it. It also abandons blanket disqualification in hypertrophic cardiomyopathy in favour of shared, risk-stratified decisions. The register's exercise-training trials are grouped below.
